imageHello, This is John Marichak, Superintendent of the Dunmore School District.

I am calling to inform everyone that we have received confirmation of an additional positive COVID-19 test. The student is a high school student and member of our boys’ basketball team. He has been in quarantine since November 13th.

The case was reported to the Department of Health and we were advised that no additional action is necessary on our part as the student has been quarantine. All areas of our schools continue to be disinfected and cleaned multiple times a week. We will continue to inform our community in a transparent manner.

Hello,
This is John Marichak, Superintendent of the Dunmore School District.

I am calling to inform everyone that we have received confirmation of two additional positive COVID-19 tests.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, these two cases stemmed from a positive case we informed you about last week and both parties were already in quarantine.

One is a student in our High School and a member of our basketball team.  The other is a member of the coaching staff.

These cases were reported to the Department of Health and we were advised that no additional action is necessary on our part as, again, both are in quarantine.  All parties that were identified as being potentially exposed from this interaction have been reported and contacted.

All areas of our schools continue to be disinfected and cleaned multiple times a week.  We will continue to inform our community in a transparent manner.

Hello, This is John Marichak, Superintendent of the Dunmore School District.

I am calling to inform everyone that we have received confirmation of another positive COVID-19 test.

It is a student in our High School and a member of our football team.
All members of our team are being contacted and told to quarantine until November 20th. All of the coaches will be quarantining as well.
Any student who was considered in close contact will be notified as well. There was a delay in receiving the test results. This is the reason for the shorter quarantine per the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

We have been working with the Pennsylvania Department of Health and have followed all of their guidance. All areas of our schools continue to be disinfected and cleaned multiple times a week. We will continue to inform our community in a transparent manner.

Dunmore High School Winter Sports 2020-2021

The official start date for winter sports is November 20, 2020. No one will be allowed to try-out or practice without all completed paperwork and a current physical on file.

We have moved all of the PIAA paperwork online and encourage all families to use this option. That can be done here: https://www.familyid.com/programs/dunmore-school-district-winter-athletic-registration-2020-2021

Paper forms are available in the athletic office and athletic training room. These forms can also be sent via email upon request. Students who did not play a fall sport will need to turn in Section 6 after it has been signed by a physician. Students who played for a Dunmore School District fall team will need to turn in Section 7 (parent recertification.)

Physicals are scheduled for Saturday, November 14 beginning at 8:45am in the high school gym. Students MUST make an appointment by November 12 at 11:59pm in order to be seen by Dr Deck. The health history form also needs to be filled out prior to seeing the doctor. Physicals done at this time will be free of charge. You can sign up here: https://forms.gle/uXZF9191dG4vvWKE9

Hello,

This is John Marichak, Superintendent of the Dunmore School District.

This call is to make everyone aware that we have received confirmation of a positive COVID-19 case.

The child is a student at the Dunmore Junior/Senior High School, and was last in school on Thursday, October 8.  The student last interacted with other students on Friday, October 9th.  During this interaction, face covering and proper social distancing were utilized.

At Dunmore High School, all social distancing and face covering guidelines are being followed.  All areas of the school building have gone through disinfection and deep cleaning multiple times.

In the event that there were students or staff directly exposed, they are notified individually.

The District is confident that our health and safety protocols are effective and we will continue to inform our community in a transparent manner.

Thank You
